Forget her brief but entertaining verse on Dorobucci, fledgling Mavin Records artiste Di’Ja first proved her chops as a singer with Yaro, the groovy multi-ethnic debut that put her airy, melodic voice in the spotlight. Skip forward and she’s grown in vocal confidence and has really come into her own on Awww, a delightful product of the African-themed pop hit formula that has worked so well for every Mo’Hits/Mavin Records artiste in the past (D’banj, we’re looking at you).
