Short on big-named players and lacking the glamour of Europe’s top leagues, the Dutch Eredivisie isn’t exactly prime time TV material. But every now and then, something amazing comes out of the Netherlands and the world’s collective lower jaw hits the ground. A case in point is Oussama Tannane’s fifth-minute free-kick goal for Heracles against NEC yesterday. Struck from over 32 meters out, the ball sailed past NEC’s helpless goalkeeper with just the right amount of spin. Definitely our goal of the weekend.
