The Minister of the Federal Capital Administration, FCTA, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, on Wednesday, awarded ministerial honours award to 76 members of the National Youth Service Corps.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Administration, FCTA, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, on Wednesday, awarded ministerial honours award to 76 members of the National Youth Service Corps.

The corpers were reportedly chosen because they served and stood out in the Federal Capital Territory between 2011 to 2013.

Bello, who spoke in Abuja during the closing ceremony of the NYSC FCT 2016 Batch “A”, stream 2, Orientation Course, in Kubwa, announced that the FCT Administration is willing to award the same honour to corpers who distinguished themselves from 2014 till date.

Bello, who was represented by the FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Babatope Ajakaiye, added that the administration would not cease to continue to reward NYSC members who embark on programmes that impact positively on the wellbeing of the residents of the Territory.

In his speech, Bello also advised the corps members adopt a good attitude and accept posting to rural communities in the Territory, where their services are needed and will be greatly appreciated rather than spend too much effort trying to find positions at the more urban areas.

He also advised corps members to avoid unauthorized travels that will endanger their life and to be the true embodiment of change in the various communities where they are posted.
