A Crazy Sport Goes To The Eight Wonder Of The World

Wow! As in, WOW!

Regarded as the Eighth Wonder of the World, the 2000-year old Banaue rice terraces in the Philippines’ Ifuago province are farms literally carved into the side of a mountain. In October, the lush, waterlogged landscape was transformed into a playground for wakeskating—a sport in which a rider on a board is pulled across a body of water—by professional wakeskaters Brian Grubb and Dominik Preisner.

Pulled by a winch, Grub and Preisner waterskated across four mountainside pools, performing tricks amidst the natural scenery. The video (below) of the pair’s adventure is nothing short of amazing.
