Forget Phones, Google Wants To Make Your Wrist Its Home
Known as Android Wear (not obvious at all, guys), this ad hoc version of the world’s most popular mobile OS is expected to deliver notifications, navigation directions and reminders to a slew of consumer products.
Google formally entered the wearable tech market on March 18, 2014, as the global leader in innovation unveiled a specialised version of Android for smartwatches and other wearable devices. Known as Android Wear (not obvious at all, guys), this ad hoc version of the world’s most popular mobile OS is expected to deliver notifications, navigation directions and reminders to a slew of consumer products, beginning with several smartwatches (from LG, Motorola and more) that are set to hit markets later this year. It’s safe to say that in a short time, you may never (unconsciously) miss a call again. *groan*
